Show Notes

How do you start a comedy TV channel and lose your sense of humor in the process? It happens to the best of us when we try to play for a living. Art Bell worked at CBS, HBO, where he founded The Comedy Channel that became Comedy Central, and then was President of Court TV. Constant Comedy is the story of how Art started Comedy Central (originally called The Comedy Channel) in 1990, and how he helped make the fledgling channel a success. This book is his first-person account of the birth and development of a channel that went on to become a powerhouse in comedy entertainment.
